Acne Is Not Fun For You

Acne is pretty much hated universally. Many people spend copious amounts of time fighting acne. We spend tons of money on products that are supposed to give us better and acne free skin. Sadly, for many people, acne issues are not limited to the years spent in puberty. Some of us have to fight against breakouts for our entire lives. If you are tired of dealing with pimples and bad skin, here are some things you can try to help clear things up.

Make sure your hair stays away from your face.

All day long your hair follicles produce oil which makes its way into your hair and then, if you are not careful, onto your face and into your pores. Bangs are especially troublesome oil spreaders for people with acne problems so, if you want to keep your pores oil free, either grow your bangs out or keep them pulled back. Having bangs or long hair is certainly appealing, but remember to keep it pulled up off of your face if you want to prevent breakouts. Use a headband to keep your hair back or pull it back into a braid or ponytail. You’ll be glad you did! If you are a fan of makeup either try to wear less of it or try to find makeup that is lighter on your skin. You can now buy makeup that includes sunscreen which will help you cut down on the amount of things you apply to your face every morning. Some makeup companies even produce products that are infused with vitamins that your skin needs to be healthy. Do not run for the cheapest makeup available. Don’t cake on your makeup. The goal is to wear as little makeup as you can. Don’t fret; you can still look amazing without caking layers of stuff onto your face! This is also important: do not go to bed with makeup still on your face. Leaving your makeup on while you sleep is one of the best ways to give yourself acne.

Calm down! Did you know that your acne and breakouts can be caused by a stress level that is too high? It is important to take some time for yourself every day to lower your stress. Learn some simple relaxation techniques when you feel the stress start to get the better of you. If you lead a fast paced lifestyle consider slowing it down a little bit. In addition to being happier and better balanced, your acne might go away as well!
