India news unites distinct beats of the country.

Millionaire and former editor was recently discovered alive on the streets of Mumbai

Whilst walking on the streets of JP Road in the Versova area of Mumbai, you might encounter an old lady sitting just outdoors the Sachkhan Darbar Gurudwara. Employed to watching numerous beggars on the roads, it was not hard for the Mumbaiites to mistakenly think the very same for this courageous woman and take is as an additional case of the latest news.

65 year old Sunita Naik surely does not beg, she may be penniless but certainly not illiterate. Unlike other individuals, she can fluently speak not just one language but five distinct languages. Questioning what she is carrying out on the streets of Mumbai and living on the footpath with dirty, unwashed clothing, a packet of stale food and a mobile telephone for firm?
Sunita created the footpath outside this gurdwara her property two months ago along with her 12 year old Pomeranian pet that she lovingly calls Sashi. She recalled, “Following losing each my parents at an early age, I was encouraged by my pals to strongly move on and I managed to graduate from Pune University on merit and worked my way up to be the Editor of a famous Marathi Magazine Grihalakshmi sharing various stages of the current news. But however, some years ago, a breaking news disclosed its close down.”

Naik was far from being a pauper in her heydays. In reality, on the basis of the current valuation, she would simply have been a millionaire numerous times over as in the course of the early 1980’s, at the peak of her profession, she bought two apartments in the plush Jayant apartments near Century Bazaar in Worli. She indeed lived in 22-23 apartments till 2007. The audacious lady also inherited a loved ones bunglow in Pune and her neighbours at Jayant Apartments remembered her with her two chauffer driven automobiles as she never travelled in a public transport. “I sold my Bhandar Road bunglow in 1984 for Rs. 6 lakhs followed by promoting each Mumbai flats in 2007 and cars Hyundai Ascent and Tata Indica. Soon after collecting Rs. 80 lakh for all, I moved to a leased bunglow in Thane”, she said.

Senior member of her building shared, “She led really an affluent life, but would invariably stay aloof. We completely lost touch with her after she sold off her second floor flats. It is shocking and sad to know that she now lives on a footpath.”

Naik soon realized her funds have been mysteriously drying up which insisted her move to Versova in search of a more affordable flat on rent but she ultimately landed up on the streets living off the charity of the gurudwara. “Folks here are incredibly nice and have permitted me to keep below a makeshift pandal on the road. They help me with my simple meals,” stated the wounded heart. Becoming aware about the plight of Naik, Senior member of the gurudwara Mahinder Singh said, “We organize two square meals for her every day. We hope there is a person out there who can aid her lead a standard life”

The woman also talked about actor Brij Bhatnagar who is typical at the gurudwara and he stated, “I see Naik and her dog near the gurudwara every time I visit. I take care of all her health-related bills and try to meet her as often as possible.” Perhaps there are much more excellent human beings someplace, who will give her another dimension of life.

With little knowledge about how her bank balance abruptly drained or if it is planned by any person, she stays here with her soul pet. “I have absolutely no thought about my income abruptly vanishing away. My ex-employee Kamal Raikar who lives in a modest room in Bai Mahalin, Tardeo may well have an notion as she always operated my bank accounts. She may well be in a position to throw some light on the matter as she looked soon after me for the previous 15 years”, said the senior citizen. Naik has no way of contacting Raikar as the former lost all her contacts after her mobile got destroyed in the Mumbai rains.

Luckily for the loner, Naik has a quantity of well wishers who insisted her to move with her but she refused as practically all of them had asked her to get away from her 12 year old soul mate Sashi who is unwell and flea ridden. But Sunita is not prepared to dump the loyalties of her old love. “I am educated and can talk in various languages and nonetheless capable to take up a job if offered. I am all set to start off my life afresh but awaiting an chance”, admitted the bravo.
