The Kobo eReader now provides built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, improved battery life, a sharper display, and a lower price tag which made the ereader market heat up at the end-of-year holiday season. The new items are available in three colors: black, silver, and lilac and feature a sharper screen, improved battery life and performance, and integrated Wi-Fi that allows consumers to shop from more than 2.2 million titles just by touching a “Shop” button. As a result, consumers can also receive wireless delivery of newspapers.
In terms of specs, the Kobo eReader features a 6-inch EInk display that supports 16 levels of greyscale, an SD card slot for removable storage which is enough to handle about 8,000 ebooks, and a battery of keeping its charge for up to 2 weeks or through 10,000 page loads. Alike the previous model, the Kobo eReader sports a D-pad controller for navigation, supports ePub and PDF documents, and an orginal quilted back for comfortable reading.

Online orders are available today, however, units expected to begin being reveiled in October with 100 free literary masterpieces pre-installed. Consumers who pre-order will have chances to acquire two free eBooks from Random House of Canadas. In the U.S., Kobo readers debuted at $ 150 while the original models are now selling for $ 129.
