When you are a teenager, dealing with acne is just part of life. Knowing that we are not alone in our acne issues can help dealing them easier when we are teenagers, no matter how embarrassed we are by our “pizza faces”. Puberty is supposed to be the worst of our acne years; by adulthood we’re supposed to be mostly finished with it. Even random and small breakouts can freak us out when we are grown up because we thought we were over all of that nonsense! Nothing makes us feel like kids again more than waking up to find that we’re sporting some new spots and bumps. Adult acne is often very painful, which is another reason so many adults dread breaking out. No matter what number your age starts with, use these hints to help you deal with your next breakout.
Is your diet balanced and nutritious? Being malnutrition can make a lot of people experience acne. For some, acne is a warning sign that they need to change their diets and fast. One of the ways that you can combat this is to take a daily multi-vitamin. The multi-vitamin won’t take care of all of your nutritional needs but it can help you make up for some of the areas in which you are lacking. The reason so many people immediately jump to your nutrition when you break out is that, when you don’t get the right vitamins and nutrients, your body produces a bunch of extra sebum which seeps into your pores and causes you to break out. So make sure that you are eating the right foods and getting enough vitamins and nutrients.
Try not to let your hands touch your face. The majority of the population doesn’t realize just how much time they spend touching their faces every day. The contact between our faces and our hands is partly to blame for our acne problems. Think back. Each time you touch an object and then touch your face you are placing little pieces of that object into your pores. If you make a habit of resting your face on your hands then the oil that is on your hands is going straight into the pores on your face. This is partly what makes it so easy for you to catch the flu: you pick up something that has been touched by someone who is sick and then later brush something off of your face and transfer the germs right onto your face where they have easy access to your nose, eyes, mouth, ears and pores: all places to infect with the flu! Don’t touch your face!
If you are unable to keep your hands away from your face make sure to wash your hands often! This means that you should wash your hands often.
If you do wake up to an acne flare up, do not let yourself pick at your face! Acne should not ever be subject to picking or squeezing. If you do not leave your pimples alone they won’t heal correctly. Though should never ever play with, pick at or pop your pimples, it is okay to gently wash your breakout with some acne fighting cleansers. Sometimes acne will take a little bit of time to heal. Which would you prefer to face? A couple of days sporting a few spots or decades sporting spot scars? There are many factors that can cause a person to experience acne. It is important that you understand that you are not the only person who has acne issues–the type or extremity of your breakout is irrelevant. Acne does not discriminate against age: everyone suffers from it at some point. There are wide ranges of remedies available to people who have skin problems. A quick cleanser might be all you need to cure your acne. You might need the help of a doctor. It might take some time but don’t get discouraged because you will be able to clear up your skin!
