D V Sadananda Gowda (Union Railway Minister)
D V Sadananda Gowda was born on 1953 in Sulya Taluk to Venkappa Gowda and Kamala.
Gowda completed his graduation in Science from the St. Philomena College. He earned his degree in law from the Vaikunta Baliga College of Law.
He started his political career by becoming Common Secretary of the Student Union of the Law College.
Gowda joined Jan Sangh at his early age. He became an integral component of BJP after the split of Janata Party. In between 1983 and 1988 he became President of Dakshina Kannada BJP Yuva Morcha, Vice-President of Dakshina Kannada BJP and Secretary of State BJP Yuva Morcha.
He was appointed as state BJP secretary in 2003 and national secretary of the celebration in 2004.
He was elected as MLA from the Puttur assembly seat in 1994 and 1999. In 1999 he was appointed as deputy leader of the opposition. In 2003, he was nominated as the President of the PAC.
In 2004 common elections he defeated senior National Congress leader Veerappa Moily from the Manglore Lok Sabha seat. In parliament, he was member of Environment & Forests and Committee on Science & Technology.
In 2006, Gowda became the President of Karnataka State BJP. BJP won an assembly election for the first time in South India in 2008 when he was the state party president.
Just before he became the Chief Minister of Karnataka, he was elected in the 15th Lok Sabha from the Udupi Chikmagalur Lok Sabha seat.
Following the resignation of B.S Yeddyurappa as the chief minister of Karnataka, Gowda became the CM of the state on August 2011.
Uma Bharti (Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation)
Uma Bharti was born on 3 May 1959 in Dunda, Madhya Pradesh to a farmer family members. She attended school only up to sixth class.
As a youngster she had immense interest in Hindu religious books such as Bhagvad Gita which led to her being observed as a “spiritual” child.
She started providing religious speeches as modest kid which attracts the eyes of Rjmata Vijayaraje Scindia who later became her political mentor.
She contested the Lok Sabha elections for the 1st time in 1984 which she lost due to Congress wave following the murder of Indira Gandhi.
In 1989, she won her initial parliamentary election from the Khajuraho constituency. She won four consecutive times from the Khajuraho constituency.
She rose to national politics soon after joining the Ramjanmabhoomi movement alongside BJP senior leader L.K. Advani. Her burning speeches helped movement to attract individuals.
In December 1992 she was at Ayodhya along with other senior Sangh leader at the time of Babri Masjid demolition. Liberhan Commission indicted Bharti for enflaming the mob to violence.
In 1999 she won the Lok Sabha election from the Bhopal constituency. During then NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, she held several portfolios such as Tourism, HRD and Coal & Mines.
Bharti became the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh on the back of a fierce campaign based on the plank of development. She led BJP to safe three-fourth majority in legislature.
She had to resign as the CM of MP following an arrest warrant against her in the connection of 1994 Hubli riots.
In November 2004, she was suspended from the BJP soon after public falling out with Advani. Bharti created her personal party with the name of Bharatiya Janshakti Party which marked lack of political good results.
On June 2011 she was re-inducted in the BJP.
Kalraj Mishra (Union Cabinet Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises)
Kalraj Mishra was born on 1941 in Ghazipur District of Uttar Pradesh in a Hindu Family.
He earned a M.A degree from Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi.
Mishra began his political career as a RSS pracharak in Gorakhpur in 1963. In 1968 he was appointed as the RSS organizing secretary at Azamgarh Centre.
In 1974 he became convenor of Jayaprakash Narayan’s Sampurna Kranti movement. He was kept in jail throughout Emergency.
He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1980, 1986 and 2001.
He held several celebration positions at state and national level. He was the minister of medical Education, Public operates, and Tourism in Uttar Pradesh Government during March 1997 and August 2000 period.
He was also the President of Uttar Pradesh state BJP unit
