Callaway Japan introduces their all new Callaway Legacy fairway wood, an all stainless high MOI style fairway wood with a ballistic design.
The Legacy features a super thin 2mm high strength 455 stainless face for a solid feel and high ball speeds. The shallow face and deep stretched head create an optimal center of gravity, low and deep. The shallow back design makes it easy to raise the ball in the air with an optimal amount of spin for maximum carry. The high MOI hed reduces distance loss on off center hits and the Aero’s unique shape, convex heel, make it easy to square up to the ball.
The story, set in Celadna, Czech Republic, unfolded in dramatic fashion when Hanson birdied the 18th hole in regulation play to force his way into the play-off at the Prosper Golf Resort. Then he drained a fantastic 18-footer for the title – a performance made even more impressive by Hanson’s need to win the title to play himself into Ryder Cup contention!
The Legacy Aero is available with 4 lofts and Callaway Speed Amorphous as stock. The Rombax 6F09, Tour AD EV-6 and Diamana Kai-li are also available as upgrades. Please note upgrade shafted Aero’s take a bit longer to ship. Your patience is appreciated.
Appropriately, it’s a name synonymous with golf as the namesake town in California, where the game’s best known brands have their headquarters, including Titleist and Callaway.
So what is it – apart from the beer and the capital city Prague – that attracts golfers to this part of Eastern Europe? The Czech Republic has 52 nine and 18-hole courses and several top class golf resorts, including Konopiste – home to two Championship courses and a 9-hole public course, which are all kept in excellent condition.
